How much does it cost to become a DAV member?

DAV membership is free to individuals 80 years or older.

For all others - After we collect a minimum of $40 toward your life membership, you will receive your membership card and full access to DAV’s Member Advantages Program. The remaining balance is paid in interest-free installments. All dues payments received are applied to your life membership account (total of $350). Life membership payments are non-refundable and are not tax deductible.

What eligibility requirements are there to become a DAV member?

To be eligible as a member you must have:

  • Who served in the armed forces during a period of war or under conditions simulating war; AND
  • Was wounded, disabled to any degree, or left with long term illness as a result of military service; AND
  • Who has not been dishonorably discharged.

Am I able to pay my dues before they are due?

Paying your dues are either automatic, or you can log into your account and pay them in advance.

The registration asks me for a Department and Chapter Number. What goes there?
